Verification Procedures

Verification is the process established by the Department of Education to check the accuracy of aid applications. If you are selected for verification, you will need to complete the specific worksheet for the aid year requested and your dependency status.

The 2007-2008 Verification forms are for the 2007-2008 FAFSAs which cover Fall 2007-Summer 2008.

The 2008-2009 Verification forms are for the 2008-2009 FAFSAs which cover Fall 2008-Summer 2009.

After all of the questions on the form are completed, be sure to provide all required signature(s) and attach requested supporting documents such as tax returns. We will make any necessary corrections to your FAFSA. If additional information is required, we will contact you. For Georgia Tech students with OSCAR accounts, real-time information on these requirements is available at oscar.gatech.edu.
