James Bowden Addy Scholarship

This scholarship has been established for students majoring in Architecture. It is awarded by the scholarship committee of the College of Architecture.

Albemarle Corporation Award

The income from the fund provides support for the Albemarle Corporation/Dixie Goins Outstanding Sophomore Award in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. The Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies will, at the direction of the Chair, select the recipient and administer the award

Anthony J. Arduengo III Scholarship

In appreciation of the outstanding education and opportunities afforded him by the Georgia Institute of Technology, this endowment was created by Anthony J. Arduengo, III (B.S. Chem '74; Ph.D. '76) to assist young scientists in their academic studies at Georgia Tech.  Scholarships shall be awarded to undergraduate students in the School of Chemistry who have been enrolled for at least one year and who demonstrate outstanding potential for life-long contributions to the Science of Chemistry. Every effort will be made to identify a student from the Joint Enrollment Program for high school students or its successor provided that they meet the above criteria. Preference may be given to students with financial need whose interests focus on the study and the practice of Chemistry and who are involved in undergraduate research activities

Arthur Frank Beckum, Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who are junior or above level, including graduates. The recipient must be enrolled in the College of Architecture and demonstrate financial need as well as scholastic excellence. This scholarship is administered through the Office of the Assistant Dean of Architecture.

Frederick K. Bell Scholarship

This fund provides scholarships for students participating in the College of Architecture's City Planning Program. Recipients are selected by the Director of the Program and by the Dean of the College of Architecture.

Robert Daniel Betzel, Jr. Scholarship

Scholarships from this fund support students pursuing a career in Architecture. If possible, preference will be given to those participating in the Paris Program. Otherwise, students enrolled in any of the College's Study Abroad Programs may qualify. This award is based on both financial need and professional promise with special consideration given to the candidate's commitment to an architecture of comfort, grace and memory.  Recipients are selected by the academic school.

Tilman T. Blakely, Sr. Scholarship

An endowment funded by the Griffin Georgia Tech Club in honor of Tilman T. Blakely, Sr. The scholarship recipient must be a resident of and have graduated from a high school within Spalding County. Selection is made by the Griffin GT Club .

Frank Bogle Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to the junior Mechanical Engineering major with the highest GPA in the class. Award recipients are selected by the School of Mechanical Engineering .

Jeffery Palliser Bosomworth Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to the active brother(s) of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity or the member(s) of the "Grad Council" entering their fourth or fifth school year. Candidates for this award are nominated by the Fraternity Committee.

Lindsay Pope Brayfield Scholarship

F. Sibley Bryan, Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship has been established for the purpose of providing funds for students majoring in Textile & Fiber Engineering. Recipients are selected by the academic school.

Joyce M. and Glenn A. Burdick Endowment

The income of the fund provides support for awards for rising seniors in the School of Physics.

Joseph A. Campoamor Scholarship

The income of the Fund is used to provide loans and scholarships for worthy students of Georgia Tech. Recipients selected by Department of Modern Languages. The Fund has been designated for the Study Abroad Program .

John M. "Mac" Cheatham Scholarship

This endowment was established by the Griffin Georgia Tech Club in honor of John M. "Mac" Cheatham. Scholarship recipients must be a resident of and have graduated from a high school within Spalding County. Selection is made by the Griffin GT Club.

Clinton Mills, Inc. Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Textile and Fiber Engineering who maintain a satisfactory grade point average. Recipients of this renewable scholarship are selected by the faculty scholarship committee of the School of Textile and Fiber Engineering .

J.C. Currie Mathematics Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded from the fund established in honor of J.C. Currie, Professor of Mathematics, who taught at Georgia Tech for more than 40 years. Students enrolled in the School of Mathematics are eligible for this award.  Recipients are selected by the academic school.

William Davis Pulp and Paper Scholarship

Scholarships are available to students who have completed The Pulp & Paper program at Georgia Tech. Awards are made by the School of Chemical Engineering.

C. Bailey Dixon Scholarship

The fund supports students enrolled in the School of Textile & Fiber Engineering. Candidates are selected by the school’s scholarship committee.

DramaTech Scholarship

A scholarship is available for students who are active members of DramaTech, Georgia Tech's theater group. Selection of qualified candidate is made by DramaTech

William H. Eberhardt Scholarship

The income of the fund provides support for the William H. Eberhardt Scholarships to exceptional undergraduate chemistry students in the College of Sciences .

Faculty members of the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry shall nominate candidates for the scholarship with final selection made by the Chair of the School.

Alvin M. Ferst Student Leadership Scholarship

This fund honors students who have exhibited excellence in innovative leadership and entrepreneurship at Georgia Tech. Awards are made through Student Services .

Georgia Tech Faculty Women's Club Scholarship

Students whose parents are employed by or retired from Georgia Tech with demonstrated scholastic achievement and financial need may be selected for this scholarship. Recipients are nominated by a selection committee of the Georgia Tech Faculty Women's Club members. For application go to www.gtfwc.gatech.edu.

E.J. Grassmann Scholarship

An endowment was created with gifts from the E.J. Grassman Trust. Awards are made to Ceramic Engineering majors who are enrolled in the School of Material Sciences and Engineering. Scholarships are usually awarded for Honors Day by the academic school.

Gwinner Student Leadership Scholarship

This fund provides a stipend up to one academic year to the president of the Georgia Tech Chapter of the American Institute of Architectural Students (AIAS) as long as the recipient is in office. The recipient must meet institutionally approved standards of satisfactory academic progress and must continue his or her studies in the College of Architecture .

Leslie U. and Ola Ryle Hammack Memorial Scholarship

The junior class Mechanical Engineering student with the highest GPA may qualify for this award. The qualified candidate should also be a native born resident of Georgia. The scholarship is for one year only and is merit-based.  Recipients are awarded by the academic school.

Robert C. Hart Pulp and Paper Foundation Scholarship

The income of the Fund is used to provide the Robert Hart Pulp and Paper Foundation Scholarships for students in the Pulp and Paper Program in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Georgia Tech Pulp & Paper Foundation according to its by-laws. Awards will be based on merit.

Albert Lee Hawes Scholarship

Scholarships are provided for the students enrolled in Georgia Tech's College of Architecture. They are awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid sends a list of nominees to the College of Architecture for approval.

Merri Gaye Hitt Scholarship

This fund was established in memory of Merri Gaye Hitt who graduated from Tech in 1977. It assists a deserving member of the ANAK Society who has demonstrated an outstanding record of leadership and service to the university.  Recipients are selected by the ANAK Society and awards are usually made during Honors Day.

H. Hochman Aerospace Engineering Scholarship

An award is given to an outstanding junior majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Selection is made by the School of Aerospace Engineering usually during Honors Day.

IEEE Scholarship for Power Engineers

The fund is used to provide scholarships to students within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering,  be enrolled in the electric power program, be student members of IEEE

Abraham Illges Memorial Scholarship

The fund provides annual scholarships for outstanding students enrolled in the School of Textile and Fiber Engineering.  Awards are made by the academic school.

Andrew D. Jarrett Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student who wishes to or is participating in the School of Architecture's Paris Program. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In the case of need and qualifications being equal, preference is given to a female or minority student (the latter is defined as African-American, Asian, Native-American, or Hispanic). Awards are made by the academic school.

C. A. Jones Memorial Scholarship

These funds provide annual scholarships for students enrolled in the School of Textile & Fiber Engineering.  Selection is made by the academic school .

Frank Kalwaites Memorial Scholarship

An annual scholarship is provided from funds given to Georgia Tech by friends of Frank Kalwaites in his memory. The candidates should have an interest in textiles, particularly textile machinery design. Awards are based on academic ability and financial need. Qualified recipients are selected by the representative of the School of Textile and Fiber Engineering.

Kawneer Industrial Design Scholarship

This fund was created to provide scholarships to students enrolling in the College of Architecture's Industrial Design Program. Recipients shall be students in their third year or higher who demonstrate financial need and scholastic excellence. Preference is given to students who attended high school in Georgia. The Director of the Industrial Design Program will make the final selection .

John Evan Kelley Memorial Scholarship

JThis scholarship is designated to support deserving, but not necessarily needy students, who are members of the Georgia Tech Band. It is awarded by the scholarship committee of the College of Architecture.

Kelley Family Music Scholarship

The income of the Fund provides support for the Kelley Family Music Scholarship.

The Scholarships shall be awarded to Undergraduate Students who are participating in the music program within the College of Architecture . In selecting candidates, first preference shall be given to members of Briarcliff Baptist Church . Such candidates shall identify themselves to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid or its successor by a minister or interim minister on church letterhead.

Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid or its successor upon recommendation of the Music Department. The scholarships may be renewed for so long as the recipient meets the minimum standard for academic performance.

Korean Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving Georgia Tech Korean student. Awards are based on academic achievement and financial need.  Awards are made by a selection committee comprised of the President of the Korean Student Association and two faculty members .

Kurt Salmon Association Scholarship

This scholarship is available to senior students pursuing a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The recipient must be a U.S. citizen.  Awards are made available through the School of Industrial Engineering.

Jim Langley Endowed Scholarship

Awards from this fund are made on behalf of the Buchhead GT Club. Selection criteria includes demonstrated campus leadership and community involvement, a brief essay, and a written recommendation. Eligible students are those who have completed their freshman year, maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA, and are in good academic standing. The scholarship is awarded during the Students Honors Day. Selection is made by a panel made up of Buckhead Club members and a representative of External Affairs.

Blake R. Van Leer Scholarship

This endowment was established with gifts from alumni and friends of the Houston Alumni Club in recognition of the contributions made by Blake Van Leer to Georgia Tech. Recipients shall be undergraduates from the greater Houston area and are selected by the Houston Alumni Club.

McCoy-Shipley Scholarship

Scholarships are available for outstanding junior students enrolled in the College of Architecture.  They are awarded by the college's scholarship committee.

Mason McKnight Scholarship

The income of the fund is to provide support for the Mason McKnight Scholarships awarded to students in the Building Construction Program .

Lawton M. Nease, Jr. & Jane Pool Nease Scholarship

A scholarship is available to students preferably residing in Effingham County, Georgia. Awards are made from a fund established by Lawton M. Nease III and are granted to students in all majors. The scholarship is renewable for up to 12 quarters.  Recipients are selected by the donor.

L. Howard Olson Scholarship

The income of the Fund is used to provide for the L. Howard Olson (Prestige) Scholarship to undergraduate students in the School of Polymer , Textile and Fiber Engineering. The recipients will be selected by the Chair of the School of Polymer , Textile and Fiber Engineering.

Paden-Cheves Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students majoring in Industrial Management or Mechanical Engineering with a demonstrated interest in metallurgy, who have completed the sophomore curriculum. The recipient should be a U.S. citizen with a GPA of at least 2.7 or above. Scholarship is awarded by Directors of academic schools .

Robert A. Pierotti Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships for students within the College of Sciences named in honor of “Bob” Pierotti.  Selection is made by the academic college.

Proctor and Gamble Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Mechanical Engineering, who is in the top 1/3 of the class completing the sophomore curriculum. The recipient must be a U.S. citizen or a holder of Permanent Residency.  Awards are made by the academic school.

Pulgram Paris Program Scholarship

The income of the fund provides support for stipends for one or more students selected annually for the international study of architecture within an approved program in the College of Architecture, including the Paris program. Preference shall be given to students with a demonstrated financial need who have exhibited superior academic performance and who hold significant promise.

John H. Ridley Scholarship

The income of the fund is used to provide for the John H. Ridley Scholarships to qualified undergraduate students in the College of Sciences . Selection shall be based on recommendations from the Dean of the College of Sciences regarding junior and senior level students in the College of Sciences who intend to attend medical school.

M. Weldon Rogers Scholarship

The income of the Fund is used to provide the M. Weldon Rogers Scholarships to students in Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering. The recipients will be selected by the Chair of the School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering.

J. Judson Rowland Scholarship

The awards are made to seniors graduating from the School of Architecture to continue their education in graduate work at Georgia Tech. Recipients are selected by the College of Architecture on the basis of general excellence in architecture, with the emphasis on design .

Alan Salzman Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships from this fund provide financial support for needy and deserving students enrolled in the College of Architecture. Awards are based on a combination of need and merit.  Recipients are selected by the academic college.

John William Sandeford Memorial Scholarship

The income of the fund is used to support the education of graduate or undergraduate students majoring in Architecture at Georgia Tech. The Director of the Architecture Program at Georgia Tech, with the approval of the Dean of the College of Architecture, shall select annually one or more students currently or formally residing in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), a 15-county area consisting of Burke, Columbia, Emanuel, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes Counties in the State of Georgia, and Aiken, Barnwell, Edgefield, and McCormick Counties in the State of South Carolina. Recipients, who will receive a stipend provided by income allocated from the endowment, will be determined on the basis of academic performance and professional promise. Should this pool of potential candidates fail to yield a qualified recipient, then selection may be made from among graduate or undergraduate architecture students residing inside the State of Georgia , but outside the Atlanta Standard Metropolitan Area

Marthame Sanders Scholarship

An annual scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Architecture with outstanding academic achievement and financial need. Students of any class year are eligible. Funds for the award are provided by an endowment established by Marthame Sanders, an alumnus of Georgia Tech.  Recipients are selected by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid with final approval given by the the academic college.

George Wingfield Semmes Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship is available to students seeking a degree in Engineering. Awards are made by the ANAK Society of Georgia Tech.

Peter B. Sherry Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship supports a student enrolled in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry and provides a lectureship and memorial scroll in honor of Peter B. Sherry. It is awarded by a committee which includes the Director of the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, a faculty representative, a representative from the Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc. and two alumni representatives .

Southeastern TAPPI Scholarship

Scholarships from this fund assist students enrolled in Georgia Tech's Pulp & Paper Program. Recipients are chosen by the Program Director.

William B. Spencer Scholarship

An annual award is made to a freshman who plans to study Textiles under the Cooperative Education Program at Georgia Tech. Preference is given to candidates from the Houston area and the state of Texas. Recipients, selected on the basis of academic promise and financial need, are chosen by the School of Textile and Fiber Engineering.

William Monroe Spicer Scholarship

Rising senior students enrolled in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry may qualify for this award. Recipients are selected by the scholarship committee within the academic school.

Stang & Newdow Endowment

The income of the Fund provides support for the Paris Program Scholarships within the College of Architecture .

T. E. Stribling Memorial Textile Scholarship Fund

Funds are awarded annually for scholarships to deserving students enrolled in the School of Textile and Fiber Engineering. The awards are available through the academic school.

Student Center Leadership Scholarship

Scholarships are available through the Student Center for students who have demonstrated superior leadership capabilities. Awards will not necessarily be given each year.

Textile Education Foundation Scholarships

The Textile Education Foundation, Inc. of Atlanta provides scholarships to worthy Georgia residents majoring in Textiles, Textile and Fiber Engineering, or Textile Chemistry.  The scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years if the recipient maintains an acceptable academic record.  The funds are made available through the academic school.

Theta Chi Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving Theta Chi fraternity brother. The recipient is selected by the officers of the Theta Chi Building Association.

James Russell Tuten Scholarship

The income of the fund provides support for the James Russell Tuten Scholarship to qualified students majoring in Architecture. The recipients will be selected by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aids or its successor with the recommendation of the Chair of the College of Architecture. Preference will be given to students from southeast Georgia who is associated with the Construction Research Center.

John Houston Wear Jr. Award in Architecture

These scholarships are awarded to deserving students majoring in Architecture. The fund has been established in memory of John Houston Wear Jr., an alumnus of the Institute. Recipients are selected by the College of Architecture.

Richard K. Whitehead, Jr. Scholarship

A scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior seeking a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The recipient is chosen by the Director of the School of Mechanical Engineering.

James G. & Mary G. Wohlford Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded in honor James G. Wohlford who for more than 30 years was the Director of the Cooperative Division. These non-renewable scholarships are available to senior co-op students. Selection is based upon contributions to Tech, the Cooperative Program, and scholastic endeavors. Interested students should contact the Cooperative Division Office for application forms and additional information.

Jack J. and Leda L. Zbar Scholarship

This fund provides scholarships or fellowships for deserving students enrolled in the School of Textile & Fiber Engineering or Textile Chemistry. Recipients are selected by the scholarship committees of these academic schools.
