Scholarships
Awards are based upon varied criteria and do not require repayment. Academic excellence, financial need, and major of study are just a few of the criteria used for selecting recipients. Most institutional scholarships require a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Typically, entering Freshmen are limited to receiving institutional scholarships for the first eight (8) terms of full-time enrollment. Typicall students are limited to receiving scholarships for two (2) semesters of enrollment during an academic year (Fall, Spring, or Summer). A transfer student's eligibility will be determined on an individual basis depending upon hours transferred. These requirements for scholarship retention are in addition to the renewal terms listed here.
To be considered for scholarships awarded by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, you must complete a financial aid application. Please note that there are many students who may be equally qualified for a scholarship. Preference is given to students who show financial need.
Contact your academic college or department for information on scholarships that are administered by them. Though not always indicated as such, most are reserved for upperclassmen who have demonstrated their academic abilities here at Tech.
